Bernie is 24 years old and is a student, he started sailing at the age of 10 and has sailed on the Optimist, Byte and Laser. His key sailing achievements include Youth Olympic Games 2014 - Gold medal, Southeast Asian Games 2017 – Gold & Silver, Southeast Asian Games 2015 – Gold, Laser Radial Youth World Championship 2016 – 3rd (U19), Laser Radial Youth World Championship 2015 – 1st (U17), Laser 4.7 Youth World Championship 2013 – 3rd (U16).
